In February 2015, BR01 was born ready for the first race, which took place at the Paul Ricard circuit. In the spring of 2015 a long list of tests was planned to get the best possible information about the car’s behaviour. From that moment the BR01 prototype passed into the hands of SMP Racing drivers Nicolas Minassian, Mikhail Aleshin and Maurizio Mediani, who soon drove about 7,000 km on a variety of tracks without a problem.

As a proof of an excellent work, BR01 received international safety confirmation at the first attempt and was ready to participate in the famous daily marathon "24 hours of Le Mans." And before that, in mid-April, two BR01 prototypes in the Russian SMP Racing team livery took part in the "4 Hours of Imola," the second stage of the European Le Mans Series. Soon, BR01 won its first podium and showed progress in subsequent races during its first racing season.
